Revealed: When Barcelona will make a final decision on new manager

A fresh insight into the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona to source a replacement for the outgoing Xavi in the club’s dugout has today been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards a final decision on the Blaugrana’s part as being imminent.

A whole host of tacticians, of course, have been tipped to take their respective talents to Catalunya’s capital with a view to next season.

The last couple of weeks, though, are understood to have seen the final shortlist of targets whittled down to just a few names.

The trio of Hansi Flick, Thomas Tuchel and Roberto De Zerbi remain held in altogether high regard across the board in Barcelona.

Just when, though, will ‘the chosen one’ be informed of the Spanish giants’ plans to bring him in?

As per the aforementioned Sport, the Barca brass have put a deadline of the end of March in place, ‘to make a decision that will mark the sporting future of the Blaugrana entity’.

Face-to-face meetings with several candidates for the role have been pencilled in for the international break, after which Deco and Joan Laporta will sit down to make the definitive call.
