Revealed: PSG’s threat to Kylian Mbappé over signing for Real Madrid

An insight into what was essentially a threat put before Kylian Mbappé on the part of Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, regarding his impending move to Real Madrid, has this weekend been provided.

The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, who has confirmed that frontman Mbappé was warned that consequences would be in store, in the case of him committing to a move to Spain with the aforementioned Real during the ongoing campaign.

It is of course common knowledge that Mbappé is all set to take his talents to La Liga this summer, to complete a long-touted move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Though official confirmation of the transfer is yet to arrive, widespread sources point towards the 25-year-old as having already given his word to Florentino Pérez and the Real Madrid brass.

And as much looks set to culminate in a difficult close to the season for Mbappé, in Paris.

The subject of the France international’s place in Luis Enrique’s squad of course returned to the fore in a major way on Friday, after Mbappé was hooked at the interval in his side’s Ligue 1 meeting with AS Monaco.

Speaking to the media post-match, PSG boss Enrique confirmed that this came with the Spaniard eager for his side to learn to break down opposing defences sans the contributions of their talismanic attacker.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, pressure towards such a call may well have been placed on the shoulders of PSG’s headmaster from the boardroom at the Parc des Princes.

As per Foot Mercato, Nasser Al-Khelaifi ‘confided to his entourage that if the French striker signed for Real Madrid, “he would no longer play”‘ for the club.

Is Mbappé’s sudden dip in game-time a result of a personal vendetta against the Real Madrid-bound winger?
