Real Valladolid in talks over deal for Real Madrid youngster

The powers that be at Real Valladolid have opened negotiations with their counterparts at La Liga rivals Real Madrid, over a potential deal for an up-and-coming member of the latter’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Mario Martín as the player in question.

Martín, for his part, has long been considered one of the most promising young talents in the youth setup in Spain’s capital.

The 20-year-old is a leading figure in the engine room ranks of Raúl’s Real Madrid Castilla outfit, with his exploits this past season having even proven enough to earn Martín a trio of appearances at senior level.

Increasingly eager to secure a prominent first-team role for himself, however, the Spaniard has long faced up to the fact that he may well be left with little choice but to move on this summer.

And Martín, it would appear, is not at all short on suitors.

As per the aforementioned Relevo, the deep-lying midfielder is on the respective wishlists of a host of clubs across Spain.

To date, though, it is Real Valladolid who have taken the most concrete steps towards his signing.

The Pucelanos are eager to secure fresh blood in the middle of the park ahead of their La Liga return, with Martín considered the ideal profile of player.

Talks, in turn, have already been opened with Real Madrid, ‘to check the conditions and with the intention of trying to reach an agreement’.
