Real Sociedad want to announce the signing of Take Kubo in the next few days, according to Relevo.
The Basque side are negotiating with Real Madrid for the winger to join on a permanent deal and not on loan.
The Japanese player has not trained in the last two days and will not go on Madrid’s tour of the USA.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Kubo will sign a five-year contract until 2027 with La Real.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Mallorca and his contract with Los Blancos was due to expire in 2024.
Kubo is preparing to travel to Donostia to join his new team but for the moment he has to wait as he has had a fever. He has undergone three tests and has tested negative for Covid-19.
