La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have on Monday announced a fresh setback on the personnel front in the club’s first-team ranks.
This comes amid confirmation of Yangel Herrera facing up to an incoming spell on the treatment table.
Midfielder Yangel for his part featured off the bench on Sunday, as Real Sociedad put Osasuna to the sword by three goals to one.
Just five minutes on from being introduced to proceedings, though, the Venezuelan pulled up with a fitness problem.
Yangel, in turn, was hooked for Orri Óskarsson.
And as alluded to above, 24 hours on, the extent of Yangel’s latest injury blow has been announced.
As per a statement across Real Sociedad’s website and social media platforms:
‘Yangel Herrera experienced discomfort in the soleus muscle of his left leg during yesterday’s match. Tests carried out today by Real Sociedad’s medical staff have confirmed a muscle injury. His availability will depend on his recovery.’
