Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. will not be departing the club under any circumstances this summer.
That’s according to The Athletic, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
The subject of wide-man Vinícius’ future has of course emerged as a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines over recent days.
This comes after a shock round of reports were forthcoming, suggesting that the Real Madrid board are giving real consideration to the Brazilian’s sale this summer.
Vinícius is understood to be demanding pay parity with attacking partner-in-crime Kylian Mbappé to commit to a contract extension at the Santiago Bernabéu.
With the 24-year-old fresh off an underwhelming campaign in 2024/25, though, Los Blancos, for the time being, have no intention of agreeing to such terms.
An incoming parting of ways between the parties has, in turn, been widely touted.
As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then no such move is in fact on the cards.
As per a report from reliable outlet The Athletic:
‘While there are rumours about Vinicius Junior’s future, people close to the player insist they have not received any approach from Saudi Arabia recently and that he will be staying this season.’
