Real Madrid’s strategy to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund

Real Madrid are ready to start talking to Borussia Dortmund about Jude Bellingham. The German club have not yet received an offer for their player and the reason Real Madrid have not made an offer for the England international is that they do not want to distract Dortmund from their Bundesliga title challenge.

Madrid have a great relationship with Dortmund and have always informed them of their interest in Bellingham, but have not made a formal offer as it stands. Los Blancos want to continue that good relationship with the German club and, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, have their offer ready and will present it to Dortmund as soon as the Bundesliga title is settled.

In principle, Madrid are not going to pay the €150m that Dortmund are asking for. The idea of the La Liga club would be to present an initial offer of between €100-110m fixed plus add-ons.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 19-year-old English midfielder has rejected teams such as Manchester City, PSG and Liverpool to join Real Madrid.

Marca have previously reported that Bellingham will sign a deal to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2029.
