Real Madrid’s Borja Mayoral receives formal offer from Getafe

As communicated by Relevo’s Sergio Santos, Getafe have submitted a formal offer to Real Madrid for Borja Mayoral.

Earlier it was reported that Mayoral would decide his future following the conclusion of Real Madrid’s tour of the United States as he was willing to fight for his place in the squad.

However, it appears that Carlo Ancelotti is not counting on him as Karim Benzema’s back up at the club and he did not feature in a single game in any of Los Blancos’ pre-season friendlies either.

According to the agreement, Getafe would pay €10 million to acquire the services of the 25-year-old striker permanently.

The five-year contract offered to Mayoral will include a €20 million release course.

The Spaniard is set to go on vacation next week, but he is expected to sign the contract upon his return.

Mayoral spent the past season on loan at Getafe, where he scored seven goals in 29 games in all competitions.
