Arda Güler the first Real Madrid player to undergo surgery

Arda Güler underwent surgery on his knee on Monday for the injury that he picked up during preseason, as reported by AS. The estimated time out for the young playmaker is six weeks, and Real Madrid fans will be itching to see him back on the pitch. After the surgery, Madrid’s medical staff continue to bet on a conservative plan, allowing Güler to return when the time is right.

Güler’s injury was announced on July 29 during Real Madrid’s tour in the United States. He returned to Madrid to begin his recovery, and at that time, the club’s medical report did not give a detailed analysis of the injury. The medical team is now optimistic, as is head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

When asked in Bilbao about the recovery period for the Turkish player, Ancelotti said: “Güler’s recovery period is quite short. I think he can recover very soon.”

Güler is the first injured player at Real Madrid to enter the operating room. The dates of the operations for Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao are still unknown but will be decided between today (Monday) and tomorrow.
