Real Madrid youngster becomes first player in Europe’s top-5 leagues to create 10 chances

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has secured for himself an altogether noteworthy early-season benchmark.

The player in question? Arda Güler.

Youngster Güler was for his part in from the off once more this past weekend, as Real Madrid locked horns with Real Oviedo in their 2nd outing of the new season.

And to say that the Turkish international went on to justify his inclusion would be something of an understatement.

Shining from his berth in the middle of the park, Güler laid on a fine assist amid a stellar individual performance.

This came as just one of a hefty eight goalscoring opportunities carved out by the 20-year-old over the course of the 90 minutes at the Carlos Tartiere.

And as alluded to above, such exploits have since given rise to a head-turning statistic.

As per a report from statisticians Squawka:

‘Arda Güler is the first player to create 10 chances in Europe’s top five leagues in 2025/26.’
