Real Madrid head coach confirmed some altogether welcome positive news on the personnel front on the eve of his side’s meeting with Girona.
This comes amid confirmation that all of Antonio Rüdiger, Éder Militão and Franco Mastantuono are now back available for selection.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Saturday afternoon, Xabi Alonso was drawn on the latest injury news in his squad.
And the former midfielder went on to announce:
“Rüdiger and Militão are both back available, as well as Franco Mastantuono.”
Whilst there was plenty of positive personnel news to note in Alonso’s pre-Girona exchange with the media, some accompanying negative updates were also forthcoming.
First, Real’s headmaster confirmed that Dean Huijsen remains sidelined through injury.
And defensive partner Raúl Asencio is also a doubt to feature at the Estadi Montilivi, after coming down with a sudden bout of illness over the last couple of days.
