La Liga giants Real Madrid are eager to part ways with a current member of the club’s midfield ranks with a view to next season.
That’s according to Blancos insider Jorge C Picon, who highlights Dani Ceballos as the player in question.
Ceballos is for his part currently condemned to a spell on the sidelines, owing to a muscular injury.
Even prior to as much, though, the former Arsenal man had struggled for game time, amid strong competition for places in the middle of the park in Spain’s capital.
All told, Ceballos has been afforded just four La Liga starts across the season to date.
With the Bernabéu brass expected to splash out on a new midfielder in the summer, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Ceballos being pushed towards the exit door.
As per a report from journalist Jorge C Picon:
‘Another busy summer is coming up with Dani Ceballos. Real Madrid wants him out, but he has one year left on his contract (2027) and already turned down a move to Marseille when everything was set to sign. Just one certainty: the team he’d say yes to without a second thought would be Betis.’
