Members of the attacking ranks at La Liga clubs Real Madrid and Villarreal have been afforded places in the official UEFA Champions League Team of the Week.
The former’s representative will come as little surprise, in the form of Kylian Mbappé.
Frontman Mbappé is fresh off another starring performance on the continent on Tuesday, which saw the Frenchman net a hat-trick in a 5-0 drubbing of Kazakh outfit Kairat.
The 26-year-old has since been named the Champions League Player of the Week as a result.
And joining Mbappé as the only other La Liga representative in the Team of the Week is Villarreal wide-man Nicolas Pépé.
The Ivorian enjoyed a stellar evening’s work en route to the Yellow Submarine coming from behind to snatch a share of the spoils in a home meeting with Italian heavyweights Juventus.
Pépé and Mbappé are joined in UEFA’s standout XI by the likes of Nuno Mendes, Denzel Dumfries and Martin Ødegaard.
