Three members of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to miss the club’s next outing.
That’s according to manager Xabi Alonso, who has on Tuesday provided an update on the injury situation in his squad.
Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action tomorrow evening.
Fresh off kicking their campaign back into gear with a hard-fought victory over Getafe at the weekend, Los Blancos will act as hosts in a Champions League clash with Italian heavyweights Juventus.
This afternoon, Xabi Alonso therefore took his place in front of the media in a pre-match press conference.
And during as much, the Spanish tactician confirmed that, despite reports to the contrary in the media, he does not expect to have a trio of defensive options at his disposal for the evening:
“I do not think Huijsen, Trent or Carvajal will be back for tomorrow’s game. I’ll give you the final report on Saturday.”
