Real Madrid training confirms injury boost for Elche matchup

La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week been afforded some welcome positive news on the personnel front.

This comes in the form of confirmation that Dean Huijsen has returned to training at Valdebebas.

Defender Huijsen was for his part forced into a premature departure from international duty with Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad earlier this week.

After picking up a muscular complaint in training, it was decided that the former Bournemouth man would not be risked in La Roja’s final two World Cup qualifying fixtures.

Huijsen, in turn, also saw his status for Real Madrid’s upcoming meeting with Elche thrown up in the air.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest images stemming from Spain’s capital are anything to go by, then Xabi Alonso looks set to have his defensive starlet at his disposal on Sunday.
