Real Madrid tie Jesús Fortea down to new deal

The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have today secured an agreement to extend the contract of one of the club’s most highly-regarded up-and-coming talents.

The player in question? Jesús Fortea.

Fortea, for his part, is a 16-year-old defender, who generally operates at right-back.

Despite his tender years, the stopper has already been integrated into the U19 setup in Madrid, racking up five UEFA Youth League appearances across the season to date.

With Fortea – also a youth international with Spain – widely considered to be a potential first-team star in the making at Valdebebas, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of Real, this week, moving to secure the immediate future of their breakthrough young talent

As per a report from the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, citing COPE, Fortea has put pen to paper on fresh terms with Los Blancos.

The deal will see the Spaniard tied down through the summer of 2026, at which point he will be eligible to commit to a more long-term agreement.
