Real Madrid summer signing set for debut vs Osasuna

A member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga giants Real Madrid is in line to be afforded his debut appearance for the club this week.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Franco Mastantuono as the player in question.

Youngster Mastantuono is for his part of course fresh off finally being unveiled in front of the media as a Real Madrid player.

After being snapped up from River Plate earlier in the summer, the 18-year-old was presented in Spain’s capital earlier this week.

Mastantuono, in turn, has kicked into gear efforts to integrate himself into Xabi Alonso’s squad at Valdebebas.

And if the latest word stemming from the press on Sunday is anything to go by, then the midfielder is evidently doing a fine job of as much.

Real Madrid are of course set to kickstart the club’s 2025/26 La Liga campaign in a meeting with Osasuna on Tuesday night.

And as per a report from AS:

‘The idea is for him to get minutes against Osasuna, even if he doesn’t start.’
