A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was responsible for an altogether impressive feat in the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Álvaro Carreras.
Stopper Carreras was for his part in from the off once more on Tuesday night.
This came as Real Madrid marked their return to action in a La Liga meeting with Levante in Valencia.
When all was said and done, Xabi Alonso’s troops kept alive what has been a flawless opening to the new campaign, with a 7th successive victory.
And the aforementioned Carreras thoroughly impressed along the way.
Shifted into an unfamiliar role at the heart of defence, the summer arrival in Spain’s capital did not look at all out of place.
So much so that, as alluded to above, Carreras secured for himself a piece of recent Real Madrid history.
