Real Madrid ‘steal’ Aliaksei Mayorau away from Barcelona

Real Madrid have beaten arch rivals Barcelona to the signing of a highly sought after up-and-coming young talent.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Aliaksei Mayorau as the player in question.

Mayorau, for his part, is a 12-year-old Belarusian sensation, who has long been making a name for himself across the continent.

At the most recent edition of the MIC earlier this year, the attacker dazzled, turning heads courtesy of his stellar technique and eye for goal.

As much piqued particular attentions at Spanish football’s two biggest clubs, who quickly made contact with Mayorau’s family, in an attempt to add him to their academy setups.

Barcelona even went as far as to invite the starlet to one of their first-team fixtures last season, where Mayorau took his place in a VIP box at Montjuïc to watch Xavi’s Blaugrana in action.

As much, however, has not proven enough to convince the player or his entourage of the merits of a move to Catalunya.

Instead, as per Sport, Mayorau has opted to depart Cerdanyola for Barca’s fiercest rivals, Real Madrid:

‘The white club has won the battle against FC Barcelona for the 12-year-old player.’
