The board at La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have promised each and every member of the club’s first-team squad an altogether considerable bonus payment, for winning this summer’s Club World Cup.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Real Madrid are of course fresh off keeping their campaign at the newly-formatted Club World Cup alive and well earlier this week.
Owing to a solitary goal on the part of youngster Gonzalo García, Los Blancos put Italian giants Juventus to the sword in the competition’s Last-16.
A showdown with Borussia Dortmund now awaits Xabi Alonso’s troops in the quarter-finals.
And as alluded to above, Real’s star-studded squad will be well aware of the potential financial gain on offer, should they advance beyond Dortmund, to ultimately clinch the CWC title.
As per a report from AS:
‘To achieve this (victory at the tournament), no expense will be spared. One million euro per player. The largest bonus for a short tournament that Madrid has ever promised its players.’
