Those closest to Real Madrid star Raúl Asencio have been left hugely frustrated by the outcome of the defender’s long-term injury saga.
This comes amid the understanding that Asencio’s camp are of the opinion that the conservative approach opted for by the medical team at Valdebebas has cost the 23-year-old dearly.
Stopper Asencio was for his part condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines earlier today. Just when it appeared as though he was closing on a return to the pitch, the Spaniard was forced to undergo surgery in Spain’s capital.
The procedure in question came to resolve a tibia issue, first suffered by Asencio all the way back in January of this year.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the Blancos youth product’s entourage appear to have been left less than impressed by Real Madrid’s handling of the situation as a whole.
As per a report from Marca:
”’He’d be perfectly fine now,” lament those close to Asencio, where there is discontent over how the defender’s injury has been handled. The anger stems from an operation they believe has come too late and at the worst possible time.’
