Sevilla are expressing a keen interest in the signing of a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Real Madrid in January.
The player in question? Fran García.
Defender Fran is for his part in the midst of what has been a largely disappointing individual campaign to date.
Despite his impressive performances at the Club World Cup, the Spaniard has seen his game-time heavily restricted following the summer arrival of Álvaro Carreras.
With Ferland Mendy closing on his return from injury, it has in turn been suggested that Real Madrid could be open to parting with Fran following the turn of the year.
And keeping a close eye on this situation ahead of the winter transfer window are those behind the scenes at Sevilla.
As per a report from Fichajes, the Nervionenses, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements on the left flank, consider Fran the ideal signing.
Their financial problems all but rule out a permanent deal, but Matías Almeyda and co. are hopeful that Real Madrid could open to a potential mid-season loan.
