A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is set to be reintroduced to the club’s starting line-up for each of their next two fixtures.
That’s according to Marca, who highlight Arda Güler as the player in question.
Youngster Arda was for his part forced to make do with a spot on the bench from the off on Sunday, as Real Madrid made the trip to the Estadio Coliseum for a meeting with Getafe.
With the scoreline deadlocked at 0-0, and the visitors desperate for a goal, though, the Turk was introduced to proceedings by boss Xabi Alonso.
And Arda wasted little time in making his presence felt…
En route to an eventual 1-0 victory, the 20-year-old laid on the assist for Kylian Mbappé’s winner, courtesy of a defence-splitting pass.
And if the latest word stemming from the media early this week is anything to go by, then such talents should be expected from the outset in each of Real Madrid’s next two outings.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Real Madrid face a crucial week with two demanding matches: Juventus and Barcelona. And if there’s one certainty in Xabi Alonso’s plan, it’s that Arda Güler will start.’
The midfield starlet, it is claimed, was simply rested against Getafe after a demanding few weeks at club and international level alike.
