Real Madrid star to miss Man City clash through injury

La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without a leading member of the club’s midfield ranks in their upcoming showdown with Manchester City.

This comes amid confirmation that Eduardo Camavinga has not recovered in time to play his part.

French international Camavinga played no part this past weekend, as Real Madrid were put to the sword by Celta Vigo.

As much came owing to an apparent ankle issue suffered in the club’s prior outing against Athletic Club.

The former Stade Rennais talent had since been spotted back in group training at Valdebebas over recent days, giving rise to hope that he would be back fit and firing in time to face Manchester City tomorrow evening.

As alluded to above, however, this does not look set to be the case.

Instead, as per a report from French football insider Fabrice Hawkins:

‘Manchester City / Real Madrid: Eduardo Camavinga is out, the midfielder has an ankle injury.’
