Real Madrid star Federico Valverde is drawing serious transfer interest by way of Premier League giants Manchester United.
This comes as the Red Devils weigh up a big-money swoop for the Uruguayan international.
Valverde has for his part been singled out for rare criticism in Spain’s capital over recent weeks, amid a rare dip in form.
Some have suggested that as much comes owing to a rocky relationship with new manager Xabi Alonso, giving rise to chatter surrounding his long-term future.
And with as much in mind, keeping a close eye on the situation are those in the boardroom at the aforementioned Manchester United.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘Federico Valverde has emerged as a target for Manchester United, who are preparing a bid close to €100 million to lure him away from Real Madrid.’
Despite such claims, it remains highly unlikely that Real Madrid would actually consider Valverde’s sale, with the 27-year-old considered nothing short of a pillar on the pitch and in the dressing room alike.
