Real Madrid star Éder Militão has on Tuesday been dealt a fresh setback on the injury front.
This comes owing to developments in Los Blancos’ latest La Liga outing.
Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops are currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
Stopper Militão was afforded a starting berth for the fixture, joining Dean Huijsen at the heart of the hosts’ backline.
During the first-half in Spain’s capital, however, disaster struck for the Brazilian international.
Not long back from another long-term spell on the sidelines through injury, Militão pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular complaint.
From here, the former Porto standout quickly called for a substitution, before being replaced by Antonio Rüdiger.
The hope on the part of those of a Real Madrid and Brazil persuasion alike will now be that the issue is not a serious one, with Militão not facing up to any kind of extended absence.
