La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that young frontman Endrick has suffered a setback in his ongoing efforts to return to the pitch.
Brazilian international Endrick has for his part been sidelined since late in May, owing to a muscular injury suffered on La Liga’s final day.
The 18-year-old had spent the time since working hard on his recovery, culminating in a return to basic group activities with Xabi Alonso’s squad earlier this week.
As alluded to above, however, over the last couple of days, Endrick suffered a setback.
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘Real Madrid forward Endrick has suffered a relapse of the muscle injury he sustained at the end of May and is expected to remain sidelined for a number of weeks.’
Elsewhere in Real’s ranks, Trent Alexander-Arnold has also been scheduled for medical tests over the days ahead, after sitting out Los Blancos’ Club World Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain owing to a muscular problem suffered in training.
