La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday been dealt a damaging blow on the personnel front.
This comes owing to developments in Los Blancos’ Champions League showdown with German heavyweights Bayern Munich.
Real are of course currently locked in action on the continent.
Fresh off seeing their La Liga title hopes hit hard by way of a defeat to Mallorca over the weekend, Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops have welcomed the aforementioned Bayern to Spain’s capital.
As things stand, however, the evening’s hosts find themselves headed towards a 2nd successive defeat, trailing by a goal to nil.
And as alluded to above, the current scoreline in Madrid is far from Real’s only source of concern.
During the first-half, midfield enforcer Aurélien Tchouaméni was shown a yellow card.
Owing to an accumulation of Champions League bookings, as much means that the France international will not be available for the tie’s return leg at the Allianz Arena in a week’s time.
