The latest training session held by La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid on Monday confirmed some welcome positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Franco Mastantuono has returned to group activities alongside the rest of Xabi Alonso’s squad.
Youngster Mastantuono was for his part forced to sit out once again on Sunday evening, as Real Madrid locked horns with Elche in a league clash.
This marked the summer arrival’s third absence in succession, whilst dealing with a niggling case of pubalgia.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Valdebebas is anything to go by, then Mastantuono appears to be closing on an imminent return to the pitch.
This comes after the 18-year-old was this morning spotted back out on the grass, taking part in group training with Xabi Alonso’s squad.
It is therefore not out of the question that Mastantuono could be called up to face Olympiacos on Wednesday night.
