The winner of La Liga giants Real Madrid’s Player of the Month award for December on Tuesday received his trophy.
The Blancos star in question? Thibaut Courtois.
Shot-stopper Courtois for his part recently saw his efforts across December aptly recognised by the Real Madrid faithful.
After being nominated for the club’s Player of the Month accolade, the Belgian beat out competition from the likes of Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham to secure the honour of Los Merengues’ best performer.
Courtois was in stellar form last month, producing a whole host of top saves as the former Chelsea man closes on his very best form once more.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, Courtois was officially handed his POTM trophy:
The 33-year-old, alongside the rest of Xabi Alonso’s squad, has since swiftly departed Spain’s capital for Saudi Arabia.
As much comes ahead of Real Madrid kicking their campaign at the Supercopa de España into gear in a derby showdown with Atlético on Thursday night.
