Dani Ceballos’ departure from La Liga giants Real Madrid has taken a significant step forward over the last 24 hours.
That’s according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has provided an insight into the status of the ongoing negotiations between Los Blancos, and Olympique Marseille.
The name of midfielder Ceballos has of course suddenly emerged as a headline one in the media chatter in Spain’s capital this week.
As much comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Marseille had kicked into gear a concerted push to land the former Arsenal man.
With Ceballos himself also keen on the move, talks, in turn, were opened between the three parties.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then an agreement is now considered as ‘very close’.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘The agreement between Real Madrid and Olympique Marseille for Dani Ceballos is very close now after new talks in last 5 hours. Details to sort on loan with obligation to buy… and then OM hope to seal Ceballos deal very soon.’
