Real Madrid star limps off vs Rayo Vallecano

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday evening been dealt a concerning blow on the personnel front.

This comes after Federico Valverde was forced into a premature departure from the club’s meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Midfielder Valverde was for his part in from the off once again this evening, taking his place at right-back in Xabi Alonso’s XI.

During the 2nd-half, however, the 27-year-old could be seen repeatedly clutching at his hamstring, looking less than comfortable in his efforts to contribute.

As much ultimately culminated in Valverde limping out of the clash, replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.

Late in proceedings at Vallecas on Sunday, their latest injury setback is far from the only concern for the visitors.

As much comes with Real Madrid yet to find a breakthrough, against a stubborn Rayo Vallecano backline.

Could the La Liga leaders be headed for a first draw of the campaign?
