La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday been dealt what appears to be a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes after Trent Alexander-Arnold limped out of Los Blancos’ meeting with Athletic Club.
Alexander-Arnold was for his part in from the off once more this evening, taking his place on the right of Real Madrid’s backline at San Mamés.
And across the opening 45 minutes, the Englishman went on to more than justify his inclusion, courtesy of a stellar performance featuring a first-ever La Liga assist.
Just minutes into the 2nd-half, however, Alexander-Arnold went to ground in evident discomfort.
After landing awkwardly following a long ball played into the Athletic half, the former Liverpool man pulled up, before being quickly hauled off by manager Xabi Alonso.
It now remains to be seen if Alexander-Arnold is facing up to any kind of incoming spell on the sidelines.
With Dani Carvajal already ruled out long-term, any such news would mark a heavy blow for all associated with Real Madrid.
