Real Madrid star likely to be sidelined until April

A fresh insight into the extent of the incoming absence facing Real Madrid star Éder Militão has come to the fore online.

And the news is of an altogether discouraging nature…

This comes amid claims that the Brazilian is unlikely to return to the pitch in a competitive setting before next April.

Defender Militão is of course fresh off another outing to forget over the weekend.

After featuring from the off in Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo, the former Porto man pulled up in evident distress during the first-half.

After limping from the field of play, Militão was put through an ensuing round of medical tests back at Valdebebas on Monday.

And as much confirmed a blow for club and player alike, in revealing a rupture of the biceps femoris tendon in his left leg.

The 27-year-old, in turn, was condemned to a fresh spell on the treatment table.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, an insight into just how long Militão is likely to be unavailable has been forthcoming.

As per a report from Diario AS:

‘April is being discussed as the possible date for his return, at the crucial point of the season with the World Cup looming.’
