Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been afforded fresh hope of further reinforcements arriving in the club’s squad before the summer is out.
This comes owing to comments laid out by an anonymous member of Los Blancos’ dressing room.
Real Madrid have of course enjoyed an altogether fruitful summer to date when it comes to signings.
After Xabi Alonso was brought in to replace the outgoing Carlo Ancelotti, the Spaniard saw all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Álvaro Carreras and Franco Mastantuono added to his options.
The widespread understanding, in turn, was that those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu had already brought a close to their market, when it comes to incomings at least.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the camp at Valdebebas is anything to go by, this may not be the case…
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘The feeling across the dressing room and other areas of the club is that something could still happen in the final two weeks of the summer window. “I don’t think the squad is closed,” one player told The Athletic in recent days.’
