La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes after defensive standout Éder Militão was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.
Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.
Stopper Militão was for his part in from the off for the evening, from his customary berth at the heart of Xabi Alonso’s backline.
As alluded to above, though, early in the exchanges at the Bernabéu, the Brazilian international pulled up with an injury.
After sprinting back into his own half in efforts to stop a Celta Vigo attack, Militão suddenly went to ground clutching his hamstring.
After being seen to by the hosts’ medical staff, it quickly became clear that the former Porto man was in no condition to continue.
Militão, in turn, was helped off the pitch looking in serious discomfort, ahead of a potentially lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines.
