Real Madrid star Rodrygo remains far from happy with his situation in Spain’s capital at present.
That’s according to ESPN Brasil, who have early this week confirmed that the 24-year-old is still strongly considering a departure from the Santiago Bernabéu in January.
Frontman Rodrygo has of course been forced to make do with a bit part role at Real Madrid across the season to date.
Amid a run of 28 successive appearances without a goal, the former Santos talent has been for the most part relied upon as a substitute by new manager Xabi Alonso.
And this is a role with which Rodrygo is not at all happy.
As per a report from ESPN Brasil, the Seleção international is desperate for starting minutes, particularly with a view to next summer’s World Cup.
So much so that:
‘He maintains the option of leaving the club, which could happen as early as the next transfer window, starting in January 2026.’
