La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday evening been dealt a potential blow on the personnel front. This comes after star goalscorer Kylian Mbappé picked up a fitness problem whilst on international duty.
Mbappé marked his return to the pitch a short time ago, featuring from the off in Zinedine Zidane’s maiden outing as France national team head coach.
When all was said and done, Les Bleus emerged 1-0 victors over Türkiye, with Mbappé having been responsible for the game’s only goal.
But as alluded to above, the 27-year-old’s evening soon took a turn for the worse…
Early in the 2nd-half, Mbappé picked up what appeared to be a knee issue, going to ground before ultimately succumbing to the complaint and limping off.
An update on the wellbeing of the former Paris Saint-Germain standout is expected over the coming days, but Mbappé’s exploits with France this international break could well be over.
