Real Madrid star facing up to two months on the sidelines after injury in training

Real Madrid shared on Wednesday morning news that a key member of their squad will miss the start of the La Liga season, with up to two months pending on the sidelines.

As per the club’s website, the player in question is Eduardo Camavinga, who came off badly after a tackle when training ahead of his side’s UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta in Warsaw.

The 21-year-old has suffered a sprain in his left knee and is expected to be out of action until around October for Real Madrid, after putting his weight on his knee in an awkward way when challenging for the ball in training.

As seen in a video released by Javier Herráez of Cadena SER, the young Frenchman let out a sharp cry of pain at the time of the injury, emphasizing the pain he was in when he suffered the sprain.

Camavinga was one of Real Madrid’s more important squad players last season, making 46 appearances during the last campaign for Los Blancos, meaning he could be a big miss for Ancelotti’s side over the next few weeks.
