Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni has on Tuesday made clear his frustration with the level of recent performance being put forth by Xabi Alonso’s squad.
This of course comes fresh off another damaging defeat for Los Blancos this past weekend.
After welcoming Celta Vigo to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash, Real found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 2-0 result.
The clash gave rise to a heavy fresh round of backlash against the capital club, accused of looking lethargic and disinterested across the 90 minutes.
Speaking during a press conference ahead of his side’s showdown with Manchester City on Wednesday, the aforementioned Aurélien Tchouaméni was therefore drawn on such criticism.
Specifically, the Frenchman was asked if he and his teammates lack ‘intensity’ on the pitch at present.
And Tchouaméni did not bite his tongue, in responding:
“Against Celta, of course, and in other matches too. If we don’t play with maximum intensity, it’s going to be very difficult to win games.”
