La Liga leaders Real Madrid could be forced to make do without the services of summer signing Franco Mastantuono for at least the next month.
This comes amid the Argentine’s ongoing injury recovery efforts.
Mastantuono was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines earlier this month, after becoming the latest emerging star to be diagnosed with a case of pubalgia.
The 18-year-old was in turn forced to sit out Real Madrid’s final two fixtures heading into the international break.
And if the latest word stemming from Valdebebas this week is anything to go by, then Mastantuono is unlikely to be back at the disposal of manager Xabi Alonso any time soon…
As per a report from The Athletic, though he will not be forced to undergo surgery:
‘He could be ready to play before the end of December’, a spell of absence which would come close to two months all told.
