A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Monday been tipped to be afforded what would be a surprise place in the club’s squad to face Juventus.
The player in question? Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Right-back Alexander-Arnold has for his part of course been sidelined since the middle of last month.
This comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered during Real Madrid’s Champions League showdown with Olympique Marseille.
If the latest word stemming from the media early this week is anything to go by, though, then the Englishman is evidently making quick progress towards a return to the pitch.
Alexander-Arnold, it is understood, was back in the thick of things in group training at Valdebebas this morning.
In turn, as per a report from journalist Carlos Rodríguez:
‘He could be included in the squad against Juve.’
Xabi Alonso’s Real are primed to kick their European campaign back into gear on Wednesday night, in a Champions League meeting with Italian heavyweights Juventus.
