Real Madrid star confirms he will be out injured until 2026

Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has this week provided an insight into his injury recovery timeline.

This comes amid confirmation that, as things stand, the defender is unlikely to be available before the turn of the year.

Right-back Carvajal was of course recently condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines.

Fresh off returning from a prior stretch on the treatment table with a muscular complaint, the Spanish international suffered a knee injury en route to victory over Barcelona in El Clásico.

Carvajal was in turn forced under the knife, to solve what was described by Real Madrid as ‘a loose joint in his right knee’.

During an appearance in front of the media on Tuesday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his incoming recovery was put to the 33-year-old himself.

And Carvajal, in quotes provided to El Chiringuito TV and cited by Fabrizio Romano, went on to confirm:

“My plan is to be back in 2026 with the guarantee of being 100% fit.”
