La Liga giants Real Madrid have laid out their financial demands to open talks over the potential sale of Federico Valverde.
This comes amid confirmation that, to even come to the negotiating table, Los Blancos want a guaranteed €100 million laid out in front of them.
Valverde, it is understood, as a man increasingly in-demand in the Premier League.
Specifically, in their pursuit of a marquee signing to kickstart a push back towards the top of English football, Manchester United have set sights firmly on the Uruguayan.
Valverde is for his part in the midst of a concerning recent dip in form, with the Old Trafford brass seemingly keen to take advantage of as much with a bid for his services.
The Red Devils recently made clear their willingess to part with around €80 million to bring the 27-year-old in.
Real Madrid, however, were quick to make clear that such a proposal will not cut it.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘The position from the Spanish capital is firm: any negotiation must start at €100 million, a figure that underscores the player’s importance to the current project.’
