La Liga giants Real Madrid have identified River Plate star Lautaro Rivero as a potential signing for the future.
That’s according to Fichajes, who have this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Rivero, for his part, is a 22-year-old defender, who chiefly lines out in a central role.
The youngster has long been making waves in his home country of Argentina, for the level of his performances on the books of the aforementioned River Plate.
Rivero has been hailed for his abilities on and off the ball alike, described as possessing ‘remarkable physical attributes’.
Such talents have begun piquing attentions across the water in Europe, with the aformentioned Real Madrid at the front of the queue in the race for the stopper.
As per Fichajes, amid a search for long-term defensive reinforcements, Los Blancos have set sights firmly on Rivero’s signature.
The board at the Santiago Bernabéu maintain a strong relationship with their counterparts at River Plate, after striking a deal to bring Franco Mastantuono in from The Estadio Monumental over the summer.
