The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid this week knocked back another mammoth transfer offer by way of the Saudi Pro League.
That’s according to Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte (via Goal), who point towards Éder Militão as the subject of the bid in question.
The proposal, tabled by an unnamed member of the Saudi Pro League, is understood to have been worth a sum in excess of €100 million.
The brass at Spanish champions Real, however, knocked it back without so much as a 2nd thought.
Militão is considered an absolutely integral member of Carlo Ancelotti’s defensive ranks in the Spanish capital, not for sale at any price as a result.
This comes just days on from the Santiago Bernabéu board rejecting a record-breaking bid for another of the club’s stars – in Vinícius Jr – also by way of the Middle East.
The proposal would have seen wide-man Vinícius become the best-paid player in the history of football, but was not even taken into consideration by either club, or player.
