Real Madrid set to recieve world-record transfer bid for Vinícius Jr. from Saudi Arabia

The sums of money that are exchanged for transfers in the world of football keep growing exponentially. Neymar’s move from Barcelona to PSG still tops the list at €200 million, but it could easily be topped with the direction in which football is heading.

As per ElDesmarque, Real Madrid have received a potentially record-breaking bid for their star Vinícius Jr., which could see the 24-year-old make the move to Saudi Arabia.

The figure that has been reported is €350 million, not quite the €1 billion release clause currently included in the Brazilian contract, but certainly a figure that will turn Real Madrid’s head.

The club in question is Al-Ahli, the current home of stars like Gabri Veiga, Ivan Toney, Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez, among others.

The question at hand will be whether an offer of this magnitude will be too good to turn down for the Spanish giants, or whether they will be willing to forgo this type of money to hold onto their superstar.

Real Madrid are reportedly not interested in the offer which has been made, but with Vini’s contract expiring in 2027, offers such as these will become more persuasive in the years to come.
