La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to open negotiations with a member of the club’s midfield ranks, over the term of a new contract.
That’s according to Onda Cero journalist Alberto Pereiro, who highlights Aurélien Tchouaméni as the player in question.
Midfielder Tchouaméni is for his part of course in the midst of what has been a stellar individual campaign to date.
Now considered one of the first names on the team sheet of manager Xabi Alonso, the Frenchman has taken on a leader’s role in the middle of the park, impressing on both sides of the ball.
And such exploits have evidently not gone unappreciated on the part of those behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
As per a report from journalist Alberto Pereiro, Real Madrid have made the renewal of Tchouaméni’s contract a priority for the weeks and months ahead.
The former AS Monaco star, who is understood to be more than happy at the Santiago Bernabéu, will see his current deal expire in the summer of 2028.
