According to Marca, Real Madrid are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and may be preparing a bid of €150m, of which €35-40m would be in variables.
The 19-year-old arrived at the Signal Iduna Park in 2020, and has had an astronomical rise ever since. Bellingham is one of the core pieces in a Dortmund side that currently sits top of the Bundesliga table. He has also made his international debut and shone for England in the 2022 World Cup. Transfermarkt currently values him at €110m.
Competition for Real Madrid
Real Madrid would have to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City among other Premier League clubs. The English sides can count on higher economic power, and will likely put in higher bids than the Spaniards.
However, Real Madrid are confident that they are Bellingham’s top choice, and the young superstar would choose Los Blancos out of passion instead of money. If the transfer was to go through, he would join Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouaméni as the chosen three to replace the legendary Kroos-Modric-Casemiro trio.
