Two members of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid came in for special praise, during the club’s latest training session.
That’s according to Blancos insider Guillermo Rai, who has provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Real, of course, are fresh off taking to the pitch for the latest time in the early hours of Thursday.
As part of their ongoing pre-season tour of the USA, the Spanish champions locked horns with AC Milan, ultimately put to the sword by a goal to nil.
On Friday, attentions, in turn, quickly turned back towards training, amid ongoing preparations for the new campaign.
And, in the midst of an intense session, which saw the likes of Rodrygo and Vinícius Jr. mark their returns, two players were the recipients of well-earned praise.
The pair in question? Fran García, and Joan Martínez.
As per the aforementioned Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, left-back Fran, and 16-year-old prodigy Joan, thoroughly impressed on the training pitch on Friday:
‘Fran and Joan were highly praised by the coaching staff,’ it is confirmed.
